Located at 417 College Rd #23, Wilmington, NC 28403, SABOR LATINO RESTAURANT operates as a restaurant serving Wilmington in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Wilmington is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Wilmington follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The best part of the experience is certainly the food itself. We tried the flounder with salad, black beans, and plantains, as well as the picanha and croquettes. The menu has plenty of options that feel traditionally Colombian, at least compared to previous experiences with Colombian restaurants elsewhere. All of the food was well made, fresh, and flavorful. The main detractors from the experience were all service-related. When we asked if they served coffee, the waitress said yes, and offered to bring us coffees with cream and sugar on the side. In actuality, they can only make espresso, not brewed coffee, which is totally fine, but we should have been told up front. The espressos were then served with no cream, and when we asked about cream, our waitress had to go back and ask a colleague, who revealed that they did not have any cream, which is also something we should have known up front. We also had to remind the wait staff to provide cutlerly once our food was served. Our salad also was served without dressing, and when we asked the waiter who brought us our food about dressing options, he said the only options were ranch, olive oil, and vinegar. So, while all of the food was

I got the chicken salad. It was kinda βehβ My server was really nice though. Itβs not a good place to eat as a solo diner. I felt like everything else on the menu was way too expensive and too big for one person. the atmosphere was really sterile for a Latin food restaurant. 6.5/10 experience, would be a better experience if youβre willing to spend more money on the large sharing plates of meat.

We each got a fried rice option, steak and seafood. The fried rice was a very different flavor and was absolutely delicious. Mine had plenty of seafood in it and my son's had lots of steak. Plus they don't skimp on portions. See photos. The tres leches cake was delicious! We took half our food home too.

My husband and I tried Sabor Latino for the first time, and it definitely did not disappoint! We started with an appetizer that was half of an avocado stuffed with a creamy chicken salad style mixture, which was absolutely delicious. For my main dish, I had the Del Pobre and substituted beans instead of the fries it normally comes with, it was seasoned very well. I also ordered a side of yuca frita, which I love, and the yellow sauce complemented it perfectly. Our waiter was very friendly and Overall, it was a great experience.

Fantastic family-owned restaurant, great people and even greater food. Itβs a small lot but plenty of space inside, and at peak hours parking close might be a bit of an issue but itβs an extremely short walk. The food was absolutely fantastic hispanic cuisine. The Jumping Cow was a unique steak dish with their wine/soy sauce combination that was juicy and delicious. Yβall, do me and you a favor here. Listen here, if you come here, DO NOT LEAVE WITHOUT DESSERT. They have some tried and true classics like flan and tres leches which Iβm sure are plenty good. But the Banana Cakeβ¦ yβall, THE BANANA CAKE IS WHERE IT IS AT!!! It is a disservice to the establishment to arrive and not order this masterpiece. EASILY top three desserts Iβve had in my life, potentially of all time. I cannot possibly stress enough how great this dessert is. Banana cake surrounded by bubbling hot caramel and topped with vanilla ice cream, and itβs some real banana not some artificial banana flavoring or any nonsense like that. Words do not do it justice, you just gotta try it yourself.
